Measurement Tips
- Navy Method: Measure consistently at the same time of day, preferably morning
- Neck: Measure below the larynx (Adam's apple), tape sloping downward
- Waist (Male): At navel level, breathe normally, don't suck in
- Waist (Female): At narrowest point, typically above navel
- Hips (Female): At largest horizontal circumference
- Skinfolds: Pinch firmly, measure twice, use average
Important: Body composition can vary throughout the day due to hydration, food intake, and exercise. For best results, take measurements at the same time of day, preferably in the morning before eating or drinking.
