The Nova is the dive-watch reading of the ScanWatch idea: a 42mm steel case with a ceramic-and-steel rotating bezel, sapphire crystal, an Oyster-style bracelet, and a 10ATM rating — the only ScanWatch rated past 5ATM. Real hands sweep over a small greyscale OLED window, and it runs 35 days per charge. The ECG with AFib detection and the SpO2 measurement are both FDA-cleared. The overnight breathing-disturbance tracking that flags possible sleep apnea is CE-marked in Europe and was never cleared as a named sleep apnea feature in the US, so read it as a signal rather than a diagnosis. At 63g with no GPS and few smart features, you are buying medical-grade sensing wrapped in something that reads as jewellery.

Strengths

  • FDA-cleared ECG with AFib detection, and FDA-cleared SpO2
  • 10ATM with a genuine rotating dive bezel and sapphire crystal
  • 35-day battery from a watch that looks entirely analog

Tradeoffs

  • The most expensive hybrid on the market
  • No built-in GPS — pace and distance come from the phone
  • 63g on a steel bracelet, and the OLED window is tiny
