The Gen 3 is 2.3mm thick, weighs under 3.5g, and is the first RingConn with a vibration motor. The haptics are deliberately narrow — elevated heart rate, inactivity nudges, step goals, low battery — and pointedly not calls or texts. Battery runs eleven to fourteen days, and the charging case pushes combined runtime past 150 days without a wall outlet. Vascular Health Insights tracks overnight blood-pressure-related trends after a cuff calibration, and is explicitly not a blood pressure monitor; the standalone BP feature RingConn demoed at CES was not live at launch. Sleep apnea remains pattern monitoring with no FDA clearance behind it. It stays on sale in the US under a patent licence from Oura.

Strengths

  • No subscription — everything included in the purchase
  • Haptic alerts for heart rate, movement, and battery
  • Charging case gives 150+ days away from an outlet

Tradeoffs

  • Haptics do not cover calls, texts, or app notifications
  • Vascular Health Insights shows trends only — no blood pressure reading
  • Sleep apnea output has no FDA clearance behind it
