Oura Ring 5
Forty percent smaller than the Ring 4, and still the sleep tracker everything else is measured against.
The Ring 5 is 40% smaller than the Ring 4 — 2.28mm thick and 2 to 2.7g depending on size, against the Ring 4’s 3.3 to 5.2g. Oura rebuilt the sensing around low-profile domes and twelve signal pathways specifically to hold contact across more finger shapes and skin tones, which was the Ring 4’s weak spot. Battery is up to six to nine days. The new software layer is Health Radar, covering Blood Pressure Signals and Nighttime Breathing: both report 30-day trend patterns from overnight PPG rather than numbers, neither is FDA-cleared, and both are US-only for now. Sizing narrowed to 6–13, so the smallest and largest fingers lose out. The $5.99 monthly membership is still not optional.
