The Lily 2 Active is the Lily 2 with built-in GPS, two physical side buttons, and a slightly larger case. The GPS is the point: the standard Lily 2 borrows your phone’s location, while this one tracks outdoors on its own for about nine hours. It keeps the signature hidden display — a monochrome LCD under a patterned lens that disappears when the screen is off — and adds HRV Status, VO2 max, Sleep Coach, and incident detection. Garmin Pay is standard now rather than a Classic-edition perk. There is still no music and no Connect IQ store.
Strengths
- Built-in GPS — no phone needed to track a run
- The hidden display still reads as jewellery, not tech
- Adds HRV Status, VO2 max, and incident detection over the Lily 2
Tradeoffs
- Monochrome LCD with no always-on mode
- No Connect IQ store and no music storage
- No barometric altimeter
