The Fenix 9 Pro is the premium Fenix, and inReach is now just an option on it. Every Pro gets a full titanium case, sapphire, 64GB, and a flashlight with a new green night-vision LED; the AMOLED versions are rated at 3,000 nits and grow to 1.5 inches on the 51mm. Adding satellite messaging, SOS, and LTE costs $100 in any size — including 43mm and the Solar MIP models, neither of which the Fenix 8 Pro offered — and Garmin lists the 47mm inReach at 13.8mm thick, against 16mm for the 8 Pro. Battery improves as well: 18 days on the 47mm AMOLED versus 15. The catch is that its training software is identical to the $999 Fenix 9, and satellite and LTE still need a paid inReach plan.
