The Ultra 4 is the Ultra 3 with a bigger tank and a better heart sensor. Everyday battery goes from 42 hours to 50, and an outdoor workout from 14 hours to 18. Two new modes go further by switching on Low Power Mode: Extended Workout reaches 25 hours without running-form metrics, and Max Extended reaches 45 by also dropping alerts and splits. Even in Max Extended it logs GPS every second, which the Ultra 3’s 35-hour mode did not. Fifteen minutes of charging now adds 18 hours. The Series 12’s Health Sensing System brings heart rate every five seconds and Readiness, a daily 0–10 score. Satellite messaging, dual-frequency GPS, 3000 nits, and the 40m dive rating carry over. It is still one 49mm size, now 1.4g heavier, and still iPhone-only.
