The Series 9 introduced the Double Tap gesture and brought the S9 chip’s on-device Siri. It is now the oldest model watchOS 27 supports, with Siri AI, hypertension and sleep apnea notifications, and sleep score. What it misses is hardware-bound: the Series 12’s five-second heart rate and Readiness, and the Series 10’s depth gauge.
