Apple Watch Series 11
The default Apple Watch. Battery finally past a day, and nothing to subscribe to.
For most iPhone users this is the one. The Series 11 keeps the Series 10’s sizes and sensors but pushes battery from 18 hours to 24 — the first real move on that number in years — and hardens the aluminium with a ceramic coating. It is also the first Apple Watch with hypertension notifications, which watch the optical sensor over rolling 30-day windows and flag persistent signs of high blood pressure. Read that carefully: it is a screening prompt, not a measurement, and the watch still cannot tell you a number. Sleep score, sleep apnea alerts, Training Load, and Cardio Fitness are all free in watchOS. Titanium replaces steel at the top of the range.
Strengths
- 24 hours of battery, a third more than the Series 10
- Hypertension and sleep apnea notifications, both free
- Full sensor stack — ECG, SpO2, wrist temperature — from $399
Tradeoffs
- iPhone-only; no Android support
- 24 hours is still a rounding error next to a Garmin
- Hypertension alerts flag risk over 30 days — no blood pressure reading
