The SE is what you buy when you want an Apple Watch on your iPhone but don’t need the ECG app, blood oxygen, or the temperature sensor. Notifications, fitness tracking, fall detection, irregular-rhythm AFib notifications, and the App Store are all here. The compromise: no always-on display and a slimmer sensor stack. Superseded by the SE 3 in September 2025, which adds an always-on display and wrist temperature at the same price.
