Calculate your MAP from systolic and diastolic readings and see whether your blood pressure supports healthy organ perfusion.
Your blood pressure reading gives you two numbers, but they describe different phases of each heartbeat — systolic is the peak, diastolic is the valley. MAP combines them into a single average that better reflects the pressure your organs actually experience.
Pulse pressure (systolic minus diastolic) is another important number. A normal range is 30-50 mmHg. Wide pulse pressure (over 60) can indicate arterial stiffness. Narrow pulse pressure (under 25) can suggest heart failure or blood loss — especially when paired with a low MAP.
This calculator is for educational reference only. If your readings are consistently abnormal, or if you have symptoms like dizziness, chest pain, or shortness of breath, contact your healthcare provider.
